Getting Started with Trinity · Chapter 14 of 15

It takes time

By Brad Bussell, Founder, 2AData · October 21, 2026

Our own store moved to Trinity in December 2025. Here is its website order count by month. GunBroker ran 500 to 700 orders a month alongside it the whole time.

Five months to find its level. And the lesson we keep relearning: in October we raised our GunBroker prices a few percent across the board. With normal traffic, sales on both channels stopped. We put the old ladder back the same night. Watch the numbers, change one dial at a time, and never raise prices across the board. That is the job.

The dealer who moved an existing following took 1,320 orders in his first 23 days, because his customers already knew where to find him and he arrived with his prices set the way the comparison sites reward. The search only store went from 21 orders a month to 30 in its second month with no feeds at all. The new store went from about 10 orders a week to nearly 60 the moment its prices were competitive.

The rhythm

Promote it

The stores that grow tell people. The firearms only dealer gets thousands of visits a month from Reddit, where his customers post his deals (he does not post prices on MAP brands). Facebook and Instagram send a few hundred visits a month to the stores that post. Your own customers are your best channel: review requests go out automatically after delivery, and your reviews can show on your home page. A new store is a new address nobody has; the first job is to be found.
